About image
In an increasingly globalized world it is a challenge to build the new markets, or navigate the unfamiliar business or political environments, which are necessary for growth.

United World Holdings (UWH) is a Dakar, Senegal-based company with a branch office in Washington, DC. Our company works with businesses to reduce the costs and risks of entering new markets. We help identify the pitfalls and accelerate the process of establishing new business relationships. For governments, we develop lobbying and communications strategies in complex media markets to promote trade and investment, as well as policy positions.

UWH specializes in Africa, but works worldwide, and has deep relationships in Africa, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.  We have a prestigious portfolio of former and current clients as solid references.

We have an interest in supporting the development of every country, keeping in mind corporate responsibility and global environmental considerations.

Our company is diversified and has a range of projects, including mining, real estate, energy, agriculture and financing.

Jean-Marie Coulbary

Mr. Jean Marie Coulbary is the founder and strategic director of the company. United World Holdings (UWH) is headed by Mr. Jean Marie Coulbary who has three decades of experience working with business and government, including 25-years as president of United World Communications, Inc. (UWC), based in Washington, DC, where he gained a reputation as a specialist in using communications tools to foster effective relationships between African governments and the United States. During these years, UWC developed special relationships with heads of state and governments, captains of industry and non-governmental organizations. Mr. Coulbary has spent more than 25 years traveling throughout the world, meeting government officials, working with businesses and negotiating contracts. After its success in communications, the company decided to diversify its activities and develop specific projects, to offer more business development services and enlarge its contact network. We now put our experience at the disposal of our clients to help them avoid the costly mistakes resulting from lack of familiarity with local markets, especially in the context of developing economies. Strategic Partners include: The Washington Times Cohen & Woods International (political consulting) East West Communications (advertising, promotional campaigns, events) AE Agritade (agricultural consulting) Investure (financial engineering, investment advisory) Maréchal & Associés (finance)
